Rise early for the anticipated day when your adventure begins. Breakfast will be served at 0700hrs at your Nairobi hotel after which you will be picked by our team for airport transfer to Wilson Airport to catch your 0900hrs flight for Nanyuki.  Our team at pick up will be your trusted travel companion through out your expedition.

You will arrive at 1000hrs and check in your lodge as you take in the breathtaking wilderness views.

Borana Conservancy is dedicated to sustainable conservation of wildlife and habitat as well as improving the local livelihood standards. It is home to different endangered species likes of the black rhino, white rhino, jackson’s hartebeest, lion, grevy’s zebra, reticulated giraffe etc. You will have the opportunity to witness all these and much more in person.

After check-in and settling in the lodge, you will go on your first game drive in the conservancy at 1400hrs. You will have a chance to spot black and white rhino in their natural habitat, giraffe majestically swaying in the lush savannahs as well as zebra just freely grazing.

You will wake up to the picturesque views of this massive sight of wildlife, vegetation and birdlife. After your 0630hrs morning refreshment, head for an early morning game drive to catch the animals as they head out hunting and the hunted run.

Head back to the lodge for your full breakfast at 1000hrs and head back to the wild for a comprehensive game drive to discover the conservancy to its depths.

Located on the foot of Mt Kenya and resting on the Laikipia Plateau, the conservancy is nestled between arid landscapes of the mountain and indigenous ancient forests making it an eco-system with bio-diverse species of wildlife. This will make the morning and afternoon game drives eventful.

Lunch will be served at 1300hrs

in a bush setting where you will dine with thousands of wild species.

Later in the evening you will have interactions with the local communities that benefit directly and indirectly from Borana Conservancy. This will put into perspective the effort and unity at play for this 32,000 ha piece of conservation paradise possible. You will get a chance to hear their stories personally and purchase handcrafted souvenirs to make memories of this conservancy vivid no matter how far you travel back.

Spend the evening at your lodge enjoying live dances by the locals and a bonfire.

Retire at 1000hrs at the Lodge.

Enjoy your breakfast at 0800hrs, after which you check out of your lodge. We will board our Safari Cruiser and drive an hour to your next destination. You will arrive at approximately 0930hrs where you will check in your lodge.

Borana and Lewa Conservancy are a just one hour drive away from each other and even have a conjoint conservation project where the two share a borderless landscape of 90,000 ha allowing a thriving population of rhino alongside other wildlife species.

Accompanied by a professional guide, you will leave for the communities and local projects that Lewa Conservancy has collaborated with to be part of the solution to some of the challenges they may face while conserving and protecting wildlife, natural resources and habitats.

Some of the projects Lewa Conservancy has with locals are;  agricultural, healthcare, water, agro-forestry and women micro-credit. The latter for instance they work hand-in-hand with local women to identify financial opportunities and provide means and ways that empower them to pursue those opportunities.

The conservancy encourages and facilitates sustainable agricultural practices that benefit farmers by maximizing production and protecting the environment by having least possible negative impacts on the ecosystem. Get to here these personal strories from some over 400 farmers that have benefited from these initiatives.

You will spend the rest of the afternoon and evening interacting with communities within Lewa,

Dinner and overnight will be at the lodge.

Rise early to experience the soul of the vast Lewa wilderness so vibrant with life and bio-diversity. When it is not the lush vegetation of Lewa Conservancy taking your breath away, the blue skies introduce you to an in sync world of hundreds of bird species tweeting melodiously.

Leaving for your first game drive in Lewa conservancy at 0630hrs, you will spend the entire day discovering the species that thrive here. Get to spot the population of over 200 rhino that roam here, the endangered grevy’s zebra, reticulated giaffe, lion, elephant, wildog etc.

You will enjoy a sunrise breakfast and picnic lunch in the Lewa Wilderness.

After a day full of excitement, retire back to your lodge for relaxation, dinner and overnight.

Rise at 0700hrs and after your breakfast, check out of your lodge and head to the cruiser for briefing and departure.

We will leave at 0900hrs for Ol Pejeta Conservancy to continue our Best of Kenya Tour. By now the experiences have set pace for the tour but the destinations will keep getting better. Arriving at our lodge approximately 1130hrs, you will check in, relax and meet at 1300hrs for lunch.

Ol Pejeta is a  sanctuary that prides itself in safeguarding chimpanzees and black rhino. They however go beyond that as you will find endangered species of giraffe, African wild dog, lion, elephant, hippo etc. This is also the renown home of the last two northern rhino in the world.

At 1530hrs you will go on an escorted bush and birds walk safari. This is the best chance to get up close and personal with the African savannah. The rangers in Ol Pejeta will take you in the best places to spot wildlife. They will also share fascinating stories as they are well informed.

Retire at 1000hrs to your lodge for diner and overnight.

Today will be spent exploring Ol Pejeta.

The conservancy has set itself as a “must see” destination globally. For various reasons, you will live some of them. Through their Ol Pejeta Escapes there are numerous activities offered for their guests to indulge in.  Among these escapes; Lion tracking, cycling safari, wild horse riding, meeting the neighbours, night game drives, meeting the two white rhino etc.

You will chose in advance from the Escapes you best prefer to spend the day undertaking.
